Origin of the Concept
After the 2008 global financial crisis, I saw a pattern that repeated across institutions and governments:
leaders made decisions based on opinion — not on measurable evidence.
That experience became the foundation of Transition Science™, a new approach to economic analysis designed to track how societies actually evolve, using long-term, cross-country data rather than intuition or ideology.
What began as an academic project has now evolved into a practical framework used by policymakers, researchers, and innovation leaders across Europe.
